Working very closely with a local forklift truck provider we were commissioned to maximise all possible space in a recently adapted warehouse facility.

A narrow aisle man-up turret truck was specified which typically works in an aisle of 1800mm rack to rack. The racking system installed had a top beam of 8400mm high and a working aisle of 1800mm.

The install included floor mounted guide rail and P&D (pickup and deposit) stations. P&D stations allow dedicated trucks to work exclusively within aisles while ‘feeder’ trucks transfer pallets between the P&D station and goods in/despatch points. This increases pallet put-away and retrieval rates while also minimising the number of trucks that operate in communal warehouse areas, reducing the risks to pedestrians and operatives.
